Handball rules

As is often the case, there are various sets of rules for different teams.

By clicking on the corresponding logo you will get to the rules

All teams are subject to the rules of the DHB

However, additional rules and regulations are issued every season. You can find these for teams that play over the district at the HVW

For all teams that play in the handball group industry, the implementation regulations are published here. Above all, the additional rules for the various young people should be observed here.

The hobby league or Ü35 is particularly mentioned. These give themselves various additional rules on their district council.

Finally we come to the timekeepers / secretaries, they must of course observe the implementation regulations, but also observe the operating instructions for the 7-meter program published by H4All. You can view the videos and manuals on the following page.

The playing field in the hall is 40 meters long and 20 meters wide. The goal height is 2 meters, the width 3 meters. The gate is surrounded by a 6-meter semicircle. Only the goalkeepers are allowed to stay within this goal area. The field players (six players per team) are allowed to jump over the boundary line, but must throw the ball before they have contact with the ground. The game time for men is 2 x 30 minutes, a game for women lasts 2 x 30 minutes. The players must have released the ball after three seconds at the latest. In the meantime, you are not allowed to take more than three steps with the play device in hand. Violations are punished by the two referees with free throws, yellow cards or two-minute penalties. The third time penalty for a player or the red card results in disqualification.

Equipment

The men's play equipment has a circumference of 60 centimeters. The women's ball is only 56 centimeters in circumference. The women's ball is correspondingly lighter: it weighs 325 to 400 grams, the men's 425 to 475 grams. For a detailed set of rules, visit the site
